Took my old Squier 51 in to have it rewired and have the guitar set up. I was blown away at how well done it was! Chris really knows his stuff. I was super embarrassed to show him the horrible wiring job I did but he didn't make me feel like an ass at all. I actually learned a few things and at the end of the experience I have a fantastic guitar fixed up for an exceptional price! 10/10 would recommend Woodshed to anyone and you can bet your ass that I won't be taking my business anywhere else! 

Chris has done work for me, too, specifically a Red Squier I bought for my grand daughter, not very playable and would not tune correctly at all.. Chris worked his magic on it and It's a whole different animal than what I brought in to him. My granddaughter plays it constantly!! Sounds great, tunes great, and SHE says it handles so well so much easier to fret (She's 11!!). If I need work done again , he's the MAN I'm going to go to. Chris has bought a few guitars from me, too, and always gave me an "honest deal". Best music shop in the county!! 

Brought in a 10-12 year old electric guitar to be restrung for my nephew. I do not know much about guitars and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. They fixed up the guitar and even threw in a few parts that were missing, that they had around the shop. Great customer service and overall experience. Highly recommend!!! 

My wife payed VERY close attention to the specs I had in store for a custom build I planned on doing sometime in 2018 after we had paid off our wedding debts.

Low and behold...she got all the parts together herself and took them to Chris at Woodshed to assemble my dream instrument. Chris also did a great setup without even getting to ask me personally (since the guitar was my wedding gift) how I like my guitars setup! Strummed it right out of the case on our wedding day and it was PERFECT!!!

Great work and I gather Chris was very helpful with my (now) wife getting everything set for me. An incredible surprise and absolutely wonderful instrument!!! 

I've know Chris for roughly 15 years and he is the only one I let touch my guitars. He does awesome work and is a great person!

It is embarrassing and painful to admit that 30-ish years ago, I thought it would be an awesome idea to remove the original bridge from an American Standard Strat and replace it with a nightmare so that I could whammy-bar myself to oblivion. Last week, Chris at Woodshed delivered a guitar that I don't even recognize - it never played so well. Chris was able to setup the monster bridge in such a way that the guitar plays like it is "one with the monster" - never going out of tune. To boot, he brought the bridge pickup back to the magnificent sound it hasn't had in...in...ever? Many many thanks - I can't recommend them highly enough. 

I couldn't be happier with Chris and his great work! What a godsend having this guy local! Highly recommend! 

I have been coming to Woodshed for all of my guitar repair work for about two years now, and will continue for many years to come because of the great business that this is. The amount of effort and craftsmanship that is put into every job is obvious in the end result. Chris does not cut any corners in making sure the job gets done 100%. He's always friendly and courteous to his customers, and his prices are reasonable. Nor does he try to sell you parts that you don't need. Honestly, I couldn't have said all of these things about any other guitar shop in our area. That's why I will continue to return here for all of my repair work, and would highly recommend it to any serious guitarist.

I've brought all of my guitars, acoustic and electric, to Mr. Dellaporta for various repairs and upgrades. On every occasion he has been prompt, communicative, and has paid very close attention to detail. This guy knows exactly what he's doing. I am so happy to have a small, private guitar shop right in town! Well done Chris, excellent work! 

This review is overdue.....Stumbled upon Woodshed in search of a badly needed tune-up for my guitar, the day before a gig. I hadn't played in quite a while and am not technically savvy AND had arrived not long before closing time. Chris was so friendly and more than accommodating to my situation, even though it was clear that he was busy. Within an hour, I picked up my guitar and it sings like new! Amazing what a little TLC can do! So glad to have a shop in Carlisle that specializes in guitars!! 

If you take your guitars any place other than Woodshed, you are losing out. Chris is a great person, luthier, and treats everyone with respect and your instruments receive five star care. He also has a great selection of used top notch guitars, acoustic and electric. Don't go anywhere else before checking out Woodshed. 

Chris helped my son get all hooked up with his first electric guitar!! We were able to get everything we needed with one simple visit. It was easy and Chris explained everything with great detail so we know what to do. Buying a guitar from a musician you know you can trust is a HUGE plus! So glad we were able to support a small business instead of ordering online. Thanks Chris!!

Chris is a pro at what he does. When my guitar needs a set up I will always take it to Woodshed. The feeling you get once Chris's work is done is like playing the perfect version of your guitar: flawless, smooth, and better than new. I found Chris to be fair in making offers for equipment. He purchased two of my guitars and we worked out a very satisfying deal. He also did some "set-up" work on two Strats for me. The first one came back "dead on point". I will be picking up the second one in a day or so, but I expect nothing less from his efforts, and at excellent price, too. He knows his stuff and does great work. He's the guy to go to whether you're buying, selling, or need "tech" work done. 

Wow, what a great find. As a new player I've been a bit intimidated walking in to music shops. They had a real nice selection of guitars and I heard they are excellent at repairs and service. The owner gave me lots of great information. I will definitely be a repeat customer for many years. 5 Stars.
